pickup-bars: in this bars nearly all the girls don`t want to go home alone. but not for free. for some girls it is their job, some only enjoy it as a part time job. this clubs are normaly focused on western guests, because chinese men prefer to visit K-TV instead of that. this bars are most time a good mix of disco and bar, they play great music and because of the beautiful girls there, this bars are also a good choice, if you only want to take a drink. but you should not show up there later than 4 am (this clubs normaly don`t close before 6 am), because if there are not enought guests there, you will feel a lot of pressure of the girls.

I have noticed that Paulaner bar in Xintiandi has also ladies working. Of course not so many like in Manhattan or Judy's, but there has been several at least in those night I have been there.

Went to Xintiandi this evening for a nostalgic visit having not been there for 18 months. Went to Rendezvous bar which has great memories for me from 5 years ago up to 2 years ago. It’s not the place it used to be. The Filipino band is still excellent the guys never change the girls come and go but they are still very good. But the atmosphere is not the same, no pick up girls and the place started to clean out by 12.30pm.

I was just about on my way back to the hotel when I heard a filipino band knocking out a Bon Jovi classic in Luna so I stopped to listen. Very good but they also finished up at 1am and the bar was pretty empty just a few pick up girls. I was contemplating visiting Manhattan which I have never been to before when I met a nice young Chinese lady. 1,000 RMB later and she spent the night with me 500 up front and the other 500 if she was still there when I woke up in the morning, she was!! 1.30am until 8am when I had to kick her out so I could go to work!

If you want to try there is an argument that says wait for a lot of the girls to head out for Manhattan and get yourself a cheap date at Luna around 1 or 2am.

Ok, I just came back and my 2 cents worth. This club is 90% gorgeous filipino girls all under 25. They like the older men because they are more respectful and pay more money. Expect to pay between 700 RMB for 2-3 hrs to 1500 RMB for 4-6hrs. I went here 3 times and eventually found it to be quite pleasant. Normally he girls wait for the men to approach them. I met quite a few and even made a close friendship with some. My favorite girl who was so down to earth was Maricel. She is going out with a tall bald English bloke called Paul. He will always have a pint of beer in his hand. He was so helpful educating me in the nightclub scene with very valuable information. I fell asleep on my last night and didn't get a chance to say goodbye so if anyone spots them out, please give them my best regards. They will know who I am and they will definitely look after you for a beer or two. They normally start off at Malone's around the corner and end up here or Judy's bar.

hi carsten, you are right, we are on the way to add this area, our next update will also include Xin Tian Di ;-) but for meeting bars we don`t recommand this area too much, because you will find the same girls later in Manhattan Bar, if they did not find customers in luna bar (xintiandi), but the price in luna will be double for the same service ;-)
