If you try to find a hotel to party for only a short time and not willing to book it for the whole night, than a love hotel could be a great choice for you.
Unfortunately they are not many of "short time" booking hotels in Shanghai, but we have been lucky to find some already.
If you know other places, please support us and our visitors and share the information in the comment area below.
The 8 colors is the only real "love hotel" in Japanese style we found in Shanghai yet (if you know others, please tell us!). They rent out rooms (in 8 different colors ;-) on a hour base, so you can pay for one, two or 3 hours or overnight. They are especially designed for "naughty activities" and their normal target group are the guys from the KTVs around who want to "party" some more intimate with the girls.
So no online booking option or pre-booking neccesarry. Go there and book a room.
Tip: They will need the passport of BOTH for book a room, so make sure your girl also provide a ID card or passport and don`t forget yours!
Website: 8 colors (only on Chinese and Japanese)
Rate: starting from 200 RMB for 3 hours up to 600 for 12 or 24 hours (rates different for different luxury level of the rooms)
The ZKE theme Hotel is not really a love hotel, but they also rent out their rooms between 9 am and 9 pm for 4 hour bookings for very reasonable rates. The location is at the corner of Pan Yu Lu and Yan An Xi Lu, directly behind the Longemont hotel.
Check the pictures gallery and you will see, that they really have set up an amazing design. They provide 70 rooms and all in different designs, for example Paris style, Marilyn Monroe style and so on.
They opened Summer 2015, so all the rooms are new and in very good conditions. There rooms have different size and price ranges for overnight but also for short time.

Panyu Road Nr. 1 (Shengyuan Building)
Thanks to hour supporter 2on1 who provided us this tip, we also can introduce the "La Casa Hotel" for a short time session. They are located also on Yan An Xi Lu, but more to the west end of the street, so that the hotel belongs already to Min Hang district. They have different sized and priced rooms and regarding to 2on1 they are very friendly and tolerant for the "fun side" of the booking.
